Bethany Longino Shirley is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from Franklinton, Louisiana. She attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2005. While at school in Monroe she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as well as being named Summa Cum Laude Graduate. In 2011, Bethany graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. Bethany has worked as a nurse in the pediatric ward at Sutton Children's Hospital, as well as in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care unit at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. While at Children's Hospital she specialized in the surgical care of children requiring corrective surgeries for congenital heart defects.

Bethany joined the Children's International Medical Group family in November of 2011 as the primary provider at the Amite clinic. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Scott, and has one precious little baby girl, Hannah. She spends most of her off time working with her local church youth group where her husband Scott is the youth minister.
