Dr. Armand A. Gonzalzles, a Board Certified Pediatrician and Diplomat member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, joined Children’s International Medical Group in August of 2010. Dr. Gonzalzles graduated from Chicago State University and taught Biology to gifted children in high school and college in the early 1970’s. Dr. Gonzalzles attended Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL and graduated in 1975. He then did his residency in Pediatrics at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago where he was selected Chief Resident and subsequently Vice Chair and Chairman of Pediatrics in the 1980’s.  In 1987 Dr. Gonzalzles was appointed Director of Newborn Nursery services at Illinois Masonic Hospital, a post he held for 13 years.  In 1981, Dr. Gonzalzles computerized his office using one of the first office management systems. This pioneering concept made him the recipient of the Davies Award in 2004.   Dr. Gonzalzles has held several clinical professorships and currently teaches students and residents in his Chicago office.  Dr. Gonzalzles’ mother and brothers attended Xavier University and his son attended Loyola University in New Orleans.  He has five children and a dog named Charlie. As a family project Dr. Gonzalzles and his wife Miriam bought and renovated his grandparents' home in Uptown New Orleans in 1997.  Transitioning back into the south, he travels between Chicago and New Orleans.
